Interview questions with Will - Take a look at his answers
How did you get involved with Derby Deaf Futsal?
My dad was the one that had found Derby deaf futsal club and I don't know how but he told me if I wanted to come for a trial so I did! And luckily I got in! Now that I've been there for almost 2 years, there has been harder games and harder things to learn like a heavier football, different shaped goals and that kind of things. I just try my hardest to get involved so I can play games, tournaments
If others want to follow in his footsteps what would you advise them?
I would get them to train better, put 110% effort in and never give in cause you never know what could happen next! But I would start in a small team and work your way to the top, that's how I have done it.
W hat was the day like?
Unfortunately we came last which was disappointing but the good things is that we tried and tried our best, also the England futsal coaches were there so that's why I put all my effort in!
What was your favourite part?
The last match was the best! We won 7-2 against Birmingham, the weird thing is that we lost couple of times against them but then we got sweet revenge, I really enjoyed that match!
What number do you wear?
I wear number 7, I just like that number, it just looks good!
What futsal shoes do you wear?
I wear red Adidas Samba's.
Do you think the centre has helped you, if so How?
I have improved so much! Without it, I wouldn't have gone this far because I have been invited to St George's park when I am 14 to have a go with the England deaf futsal players so I'm quite proud of that!
